About the Client 

Our client renowned for its commitment to innovation, scalability, and cutting-edge technology.  

As a Technical Lead, you will be experienced and passionate about joining their team as they embark on a ground-up re-architecture.  

Within the team, you will be developing, enhancing, and supporting their Business critical platform from the delivery of real time facial recognition systems, whilst utilising innovative AI technology, to core operational tooling.  

How you’ll spend your day 

  • Own technical solutions from design through to production, providing architectural guidance across multiple projects. 
  • Provide technical governance, code quality oversight, and ensure scalable, performant systems are built to high standards. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, managers, and architects to deliver fit-for-purpose, cloud-ready solutions. 
  • Act as a point of escalation and support for technical challenges, both during and outside core hours. 
  • Mentor and guide developers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices across the team. 
  • Contribute to ground-up re-architecture of complex, distributed systems — helping redefine business processes and customer experience. 

What you’ll bring to this role 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in technical leadership or senior software development roles, ideally with large-scale, distributed systems. 
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as .NET, Java, or Python – with a willingness to learn Go. 
  • Commercial experience with modern development tooling and processes (e.g., CI/CD, Kafka, SQL, cloud platforms). 
  • Clear interest in AI and emerging tech (hands-on experience not essential, but personal curiosity is a must). 
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with a passion for mentoring and technical coaching. 
  • A pragmatic mindset with high attention to detail and a focus on delivering business value through technology.

The interview process for this client consists of: 

  • Stage 1 – 30-minute chat with hiring manager via MS Teams 
  • Stage 2 – 2-Hour Take Home Technical Test (in language of candidates choice) 
  • Stage 3 – 60-90-minute Onsite interview exploring background in more depth, discussion around tech test completed and Q+A.
