How you’ll spend your day
You’ll be responsible for supporting and developing production platform solutions, working closely with the development team to improve DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

  • Support and enhance live infrastructure, recommending improvements and best practices.
  • Implement and maintain CI processes alongside the development team.
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure outages.
  • Configure and manage databases (Postgres, MySQL) in both single and high-availability setups.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Progress projects from concept through to delivery.

What you’ll bring to this role
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in systems administration and infrastructure, who can balance hands-on technical work with process improvement.

  • Degree / high-level IT qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong Linux administration (Ubuntu preferred), including firewall and hardening.
  • Experience in network design and problem-solving.
  • Web server configuration (Apache preferred).
  • Configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible etc.) and shell scripting.
  • Experience managing cloud providers (DigitalOcean preferred).
  • Knowledge of DevOps and SRE practices, with a self-motivated, organised approach.
  • Bonus skills: Azure / Power BI, monitoring tools (Monit/Zabbix), or security frameworks (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials).
