Contract Software Engineers (Java + React) – Outside IR35 – Flexible Day Rate – Manchester (1 Day Onsite)

We’re partnered with a leading Energy ISV undergoing a major delivery push on their custom CRM platform. With a significant product backlog and a need to accelerate feature development, we’re building a high-impact engineering squad of up to six contract Software Engineers.

Must Have Experience:

• Java
• Spring Boot
• React
• MySQL

Nice to Have Experience:

• Kubernetes
• Kafka
• Liquibase
• MyBatis

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering high-quality features into a custom CRM platform used across the business
• Working through a large existing backlog and helping stabilise, optimise, and enhance the system
• Collaborating with product and technical teams to ship value quickly and effectively
• Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and contributing ideas to improve code quality and delivery processes
• Playing a key role in accelerating delivery for a platform undergoing rapid evolution

What We’re Looking For:

• Have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, React, and MySQL
• Enjoy problem-solving and getting things done without unnecessary bureaucracy
• Can work in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
• Communicate well and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Are proactive, delivery-focused, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves
