About the Role 

The Lead Developer will be part of a team of 8-10 people. The squad is responsible for developing and maintaining internal software solutions. Team members will work on applications that facilitate employee-related processes, such as booking holidays and managing overtime. The role emphasizes collaboration and technical leadership in enhancing the functionality of the systems. 

How you’ll spend your day 

  • You will be the go-to person for complex technical aspects within the team. 
  • Position is fully hands-on with no managerial responsibilities 
  • Role focuses on technical direction and handling complex technical aspects 
  • You will work closely with a team lead who oversees the overall team dynamics and projects. 
  • The team primarily focuses on internal software related to employee management and operational processes. 
  • 50/50 split between front-end and back-end work 

What you’ll bring to this role 

  • Demonstrable proficiency in C#, React, and SQL for effective performance in the role. 
  • A strong understanding of both areas is essential for leading technical direction and solving complex problems. 
  • Experience with Python is advantageous, especially for AI-related tasks. 
  • You will have a balanced skill set in both front-end and back-end development 
  • GCP exposure is beneficial (but not essential) for understanding cloud limitations and benefits

The interview process for this client consists of: 

  • Stage 1 – 30 minutes remote conversation aims to assess your fit and discuss your experience in more detail. The hiring manager will also tell you more about the role and company.  
  • Stage 2 – Face-to-face interview allowing for deeper evaluation of technical skills and cultural fit within the team. The technical assessment includes practical tasks to evaluate both front-end and back-end capabilities.
