Our client is a fast-growing and innovative technology business specialising in the development of high-assurance security solutions. How you’ll spend your day
- Develop and test high-integrity software solutions for cutting-edge cyber security products and systems.
- Work across the full software lifecycle — from analysing customer requirements and designing maintainable code, to implementing and unit testing embedded C/C++ solutions.
- Collaborate with a skilled engineering team, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation.
- Ensure software meets strict security and quality standards, often guided by formal specifications.
- Use embedded debugging tools (e.g. JTAG, ETM), apply test automation techniques, and work to industry coding standards (e.g. MISRA, CERT C).
- Occasionally travel within the UK as required.
What you’ll bring to this role
- Strong background in embedded C/C++ development, particularly for ARM-based microcontrollers (e.g. STM-32) and multi-threaded RTOS environments.
- Familiarity with software testing tools (e.g. LDRA, Parasoft), static analysis, and writing to secure coding standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Desirable: scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell), knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, IP networking, and C# development.
- Senior roles require at least 3 years’ relevant industry experience
- Must be a British Citizen and eligible to obtain and retain DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance due to the nature of the work.
