About the Client

Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed Tech Bio company aiming to revolutionise regenerative medicine through the power of large-scale AI. They are developing a foundational AI model designed to reshape how human cell types are engineered and managed.

How you’ll spend your day

• Designing and developing robust backend services and APIs to support scientific and ML-driven applications.
• Building responsive frontend interfaces that enable users to interact with complex data and workflows.
• Architecting cloud-native solutions with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Developing and refining data pipelines to handle biological datasets and support downstream analytics.
• Creating interactive data visualisations to support scientists, researchers, and ML practitioners in their decision-making.
• Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to translate technical requirements into practical software solutions.
• Leading technical discussions, mentoring junior developers, and setting engineering best practices within the team.
• Staying hands-on while contributing to architectural decisions and long-term technology strategy.

 What you’ll bring to this role

• A well-rounded software engineering background spanning backend, frontend, and cloud-based development.
• Strong coding ability in Python or C++, with experience using modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with a solid understanding of scalable infrastructure.
• A good understanding of data pipelining, ideally with experience working with biological or scientific datasets.
• Familiarity with building tools for data visualisation that help users interpret complex scientific or machine learning outputs.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including machine learning engineers, data scientists, and domain specialists (such as biologists).
• A strong track record of delivering high-quality, production-grade software in a commercial setting.
