About the Client
Our client is a well-established, Yorkshire-based family-owned business with over a century of heritage. Known for their unwavering focus on quality, craftsmanship, sustainability, and community impact, they continue to thrive while staying true to their founding values.
They’re looking to bring in 2 Project Planners on 2-year fixed term contracts to join the PMO team, taking the team to 4. You will be part of a wider Business Change function of 18 people.
This is an exciting time to join as they implement a new ERP system. It is highly likely there will be permanent opportunities arise before the end of the 2 year FTC to move in to PMO or Project Management positions, with training via APM (Association of Project Managers) on offer.
How you’ll spend your day
- Take ownership of planning for your workstream – creating, maintaining, and tracking project plans to keep delivery on course.
- Keep a close eye on budgets for your area and provide clear, timely updates to the Project Manager.
- Prepare and present key project documentation for meetings, making sure decision-makers have what they need.
- Handle purchasing activity and ensure all spend is managed effectively.
- Maintain project artefacts such as RAID logs, ensuring risks and issues are escalated quickly.
- Coordinate meetings, events, and resources so the right people are in the right place at the right time.
- Be the go-to contact for anything Evergreen Cloud – managing the shared mailbox and directing queries to the right place.
What you’ll bring to this role
- Experience working within complex projects or programme environments – you understand how to keep things moving.
- A proactive, self-managing mindset with the energy to make things happen.
- The ability to quickly pick up new concepts and translate them into actionable plans.
- A structured, methodical approach combined with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Strong collaboration skills – you work well with others to solve problems and reach practical solutions.
- Discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information and stakeholders.
- Confidence to speak up, challenge when needed, and ensure your insights are heard.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Project Online, Excel, and PowerPoint (SharePoint is a bonus).

- Stage 1 – 30-60 minutes – initial chat via MS Teams w/c 8th September
- Stage 2 – 60-90 minutes – Presentation Task followed by Q+A onsite w/c 15th September
