Job Advert: Mid-Senior PHP Developer

Our well-established client is seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join their dynamic development team of 14 members. They are currently undertaking an exciting period of system rebuild and improvements, making it the perfect time to join and contribute to shaping their future!

Key Responsibilities:

• Build new applications using PHP 7, MySQL, and more, while integrating with APIs
• Suggest new functionality and methods to improve the overall customer and staff journey
• Maintain existing codebase, including troubleshooting, bug fixing, and adding new features
• Mentor and encourage junior team members

Requirements:

• Maintain a professional manner and display strong communication skills
• Ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Understanding of unit testing principles
• Experience with RESTful/SOAP API creation
• Experience working with Vagrant or Docker
• Expertise in PHP 7.x, Vanilla JavaScript, and PHP Framework (preferably Laravel 5.x – 6.x)
• Experience with a JavaScript framework (Angular, React, or preferably Vue)
• Solid understanding of web application development, from user interface to relational database structures
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency in code versioning tools, such as Git
